So being pregnant makes you feel like you are squeezing your body into leather pants that have not fit for 2 seasons. It is hard to get comfortable and man am I hot. I decided to cave-in and by a Gypsy 05 maxi dress online in black and it was the best thing I have ever done!!! To my surprise Tod LOVED the dress which is monumental as I have never received positive reviews on a dress from him EVER. I was so pleased with my purchase I purchased two more (grey and crystal blue). If you are wanting a maxi I highly recommend this dress! I plan on living in mine on the weekends until it gets too cold. Clearly from the pics I found it works for the pregnant as well as the not-so-pregnant

Banquette Love
After 2 years of begging Tod finally agreed to have a banquette built in out awkward little kitchen nook! We used the above photo as our example for the carpenter. We even bought a table identical to the one in the photo at IKEA for $149...cheap! We are in the process of having cushions made! I can't wait for it to be finished! I will post photos when it is all done.

M.I.A.
My Blogging has suffered a creative block and therefore I have been far away from my usaully full round up of (un)interesting things. I went to Starbuck this morning to find that my beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte was back and somehow it inspired me to give it the old college try and recommit to my blog.
More to come...I promise.

More Handbag Lust
I truly am a fan of Jimmy Choo handbags which actually makes perfect sense because I am a sucker for the shoes as well. I have seen Kate Hudson in several shots online carrying a new Jimmy bag that I love.
Now I truly am on a mission for ablack bag and it just so happens this lovely can be found in black as well! Now if I could only get someone to gift me a couple G's and we would be all set.

Yummy...Chicken
Ok...so yesterday I spent 30 minute on the elliptical watching the food network. Strange I know...I have become uber obsessed with watching the food network since I have been pregnant. Anyhoo, if you have ever watched Paul Deen then you know she is all about full fat and yesterdays episode was proof of that. I watched her make biscuits, casserole, pigs on a stick and chocolate dippy doughnuts all the while talking to the TV letting it know I was exercising and would not be eating her butter and sour cream ladened fatty food. But the casserole she made...aghh the casserole lookes so delicious so I have decided to share her recipe. It looked SOOOOO good. But beware...even if you use low fat ingredients it is no light fare. You can find the whole menu here if you are intrigued

Remove the outer wrappers from the box of spinach. Open 1 end of each box. Microwave on full power for 2 minutes, until thawed. Drain the spinach and put into a large bowl. Add the shredded chicken.
http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,1977,FOOD_9936_104811_,00.html
2 (10-ounce) packages frozen chopped spinach
6 chicken breast halves (about 4 pounds), cooked, boned, and shredded
2 (10 3/4-ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream 2
cup grated sharp Cheddar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon curry powder
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs 2 tablespoons butter
Remove the outer wrappers from the box of spinach. Open 1 end of each box. Microwave on full power for 2 minutes, until thawed. Drain the spinach and put into a large bowl. Add the shredded chicken.
In a medium bowl, combine the soup, mayonnaise, sour cream, Cheddar, lemon juice, curry powder, salt and pepper, to taste, and wine. Whisk together to make a sauce. Pour the sauce over the spinach and chicken. Mix well with a spatula.
Place the mixture into an 11 by 7-inch casserole dish or 2 (9-inch) square disposable aluminum foil pans that have been sprayed with vegetable oil cooking spray. Pat down evenly and smooth with a spatula. Combine the Parmesan and bread crumbs and sprinkle over the top. Dot with the butter.
Wrap the uncooked casserole securely with plastic wrap, then with aluminum foil. Place each pan into a plastic freezer bag and seal. Place into freezer.
Allow casserole to thaw 24 hours in refrigerator. When ready to bake, remove the plastic wrap and foil. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes until bubbly.

STOP! Put that down!

Back on Tory
Anyone who has read my blog knows I am totally stuck on Tory Burch. I really only have a couple things Tory but desire many. It is just not reasonable for me to have more Tory with my lifestyle. I do however need a new black purse...desperately. While I have a couple very nice ones it turns out Tod hates one of them and the other weighs so much I think I have developed a shoulder injury from carrying it (no seriously). I have been searching for something basic and black and I have decided after careful searching that this is one of my front runners. I just really like it; I love the signature T's, the clean lines, the simple design. I am gonna have to do some work on this one.

Found
Yesterday I talked about Katie's jeans and how I could not find a full length photo. Well folks here it is! Apparently they are Tom's jeans! She rolls them because he is shorter than her and it would look like the flood is coming so she makes them look short on purpose by pegging (I still am in shock over that) and then rolling. I think it is sweet she want to wear Tom's jeans but with their income couldn't she just buy some more comfortable and flattering jeans. I don't know, maybe I am way off and you all will love this look I just don't think it does much for her figure.

Androgynous
Is that Tom or Katie...seriously. Is she playing a man in her upcoming Broadway debut. I keep seeing pictures of her online wearing all men's clothes. I am just a little worried Katie no longer has any identity at all. A young girl who was up and coming and growing ever more glamorous by the minute and now this. I'm just a little confused. I could not find the picture of the jeans she is wearing but they are baggy, acid washed, as well as PEGGED (yes pegged) and rolled. Someone please help poor Tomkat.

I love you Cardy's
My birthday is on Sunday and I had pleaded with Tod to buy me the new Ugg Cardy's as my present. Tod is in Nicaragua this week but on Tuesday when I got home from work there was a box on the front porch...inside the Cardy's. LOVE these things. The buttons are so cute and you can fold them over and there are buttons on the inside that show! I can't wait for winter!

I'm in Mourning
Some of you may know by now that Tod left today to go surfing in Nicaragua and will not be back until August 3rd. Needless to say I am very sad and borderline depressed. I have accepted the fact that he will be gone and have managed to fill my social calender with endless activities to occupy my mind. Tonight though is all about me...my plan is to go home, get in my jammies, eat KFC and watch The Other Boelyn Girl. Just thought you would all like to know that I am going to be OK.
Damn.
I do not know what Jimmy Choo Handbags are made of but Damn they are expensive. I know Jimmy has pretty expensive shoes but when it comes to handbags they are at the top of the price chain. This bag is so cute but $2,175! That is a lot of dough. I could get a Chanel bag for that price or I can get 3 Louis Vuitton bags for that price. . Is a Jimmy Choo handbag on that level? They have only been on the market for 4 or 5 years. I am just a little astonished. Speechless even.

Mini- Mental Vacation
I have made this photo my desktop wallpaper at work in an effort to make myself believe I am in another place. So far it is just making me want to get out of town but maybe if I try hard enough I will be able to imagine that there is sand under my feet, sun over my head, and a nice cabana boy is about to arrive with my pina-colada (virgin of course).
How Romantic...Not
By now you probably know that when it come to Brangelina I am a hater. Sorry devout followers but I have nothing nice to say. You may want to stop reading now...seriously. UNLESS she is medically unable to get pregnant this just seems like a misuse of money and power. And for them to coo about their pregnancy and how it was such a surprise that they were having twins when they implanted them...ugh. Not a fan. Do not like them. Want to kick her.

To Lace or Not to Lace
I have decided to add to my current Converse collection of 1 (big I know). I have spent the last 10 years wearing white converse and am debating on whether or not to add grey as my new addition or black. This color choice I think I can handle but what about the one's without laces? I have always been intrigued by these lace less wonders. Has anyone out there ever worn them? I keep thinking that when I am 8 months pregnant and can no longer reach my feet a slip on sneaker may do wonders for me (and Tod who will inevitably be assisting me).

Maxi
I am currently considering going where the Lauren has never gone...Maxi. It just seems like someone in my current condition can benefit from a dress this style. T-Bags has sooooo many options it will be hard to choose but I really like this one here. They don't come cheap though I could only rationalize it by promising to wear it once a week or so until it gets too cold to bear it.

Swimtime
Ok..so the sun and heat is upon us and it just so happens anthropologie has slashed prices on not some but ALL swimwear. Being as I am growing at what feels like a rapid pace I am in desperate need of a new swimsuit. Only thing is there are so many I love I don't know how I will ever choose. I suppose I can buy them all, try them on, then send the losers back. Here are just a few of my fav's.

What a Dog Needs
If you know me you know that I provide only the best for my puppers Charlie...I am currently trying to convince Tod that this doggy cabana at Pottery Barn would complete our family outdoor living space. A place to rest his head, a cushion for comfort, shade on all sides if necessary...it makes perfect sense. Doggy luxury at it's best! Ok, I really would never spent the $200+ it would cost to get this bed but I wish I could go to someones house and see this and then I would know what kind of people really buy this sort of thing for their pets!

New Shoes:)
So obviously my current passion is shoes. Twice a year Nordstrom puts their high end designer shoes on sale and that time is now (hurry over they are all the way down to 50% off). Also, don't feel like you have to find a pair on the sale racks in your size, they are AWESOME about finding your size. If there is any other Nordstrom with the shoes in your size they will ship them to your house FREE!
I love me some designer shoes but not at full price. I bought these lovely little patent MIU MIU slingbacks this weekend and can't wait to wear them out on the town. They are so feminine and sweet! I have already began to formulate outfits in my mind centered around these shoes.

Perfect Shoes for a Moped Ride
Oh Kelly, why are your shoes so cute and where did you get them? If you are reading this and these shoes look familiar please help me to identify them! She is out and about riding a moped and looking fabulous! Those green shoes would be perfect in my closet...I love the heel, the straps and the color. Paired with her preppy nautical stripes and vest I'd say this look is a hit!

Petale Me
My ever studious web surfing has come to a screeching halt with the news that makes buying shoes and clothes seem like a futile thing. I have just now begun to find new inspiration. I LOVE this Valentino bag they have at Neiman Marcus. The "Petale Dome Bag" I just think it is sooooo beautiful. I want to wear this bag with jeans and a white v-neck and just have the bag be the glorious foundation for my fashion ensemble.

For Rent
So I was browsing the Chanel department at Saks Fifth Avenue
this week when I came across this:
I call it "The One". This is a very serious bag...for $2495 it would have to be right? This bag will NEVER go out of style, not to mention it looked very good on me (just ask my sister she will vouch for me). Naturally I called Tod right away and told him there was serious business to attend to...I told him the price (I think he fainted momentarily) and I explained to him it was because it is lamb skin. His response: "I'll tell you what...I'll just buy you a lamb". I did not really think he would say yes but a girl can dream right? My search for this bag then lead me to the bagborrowsteal website where I learned I can go on a waiting list and then rent the bag for $80 a week or $235 a month. Would you rent a bag? I must say it is tempting.

Pretty.
I REALLY REALLY love this look on Anthropologie right now. I have been a little uninspired lately (hence the lack of posts) but something about this out fit is just so lovely. I recommend you go to their site and take a closer look. The down side is if you want to look like this the outfit will cost you $612. Hmm...it's the necklace (at $289) but without the necklace all is lost because to me it really makes it work. Maybe you could find something comparable at Forever 21, they always seem to have great chunky knock-off necklaces.

For Stacie
I think we should all admit it...The men of NKOTB are not too shabby. Dare I say they look hot! This photo of them is making me want to bust out to one of their old jams. I am going to have to ask the guy in the center to tone it down a little...he looks a bit Guido. I am gonna have to go with Joey as my favorite (based solely on looks) he just looks so cute, a total boy next door. Back in the day it was definitely Donny but I have since had my heart stolen by another Wahlberg. You know thew one...Mark, of Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.

Laundry Day
I am not sad that the days of the laundromat are over. Although I had a good run of it; my best friend and I used to go and camp out, drink wine out of plastic cups, and play cards. It was very fun! But never did I have such an adorable bag to tote my laundry to and fro. I almost WANT to go to the laundromat just so I can get one of these laundry bags from www.indiarose.com , maybe I could wash a comforter or something?

It's a Sad Day for the Lauren...
I have just learned that several shows I love will never be returning to TV (insert tears here). I will just say that the loss of Men In Trees (love Anne), Big Shots, Miss Guided, Women's Murder Club (Angie kicks butt), and Cashmere Mafia are troubling me the most.
Plus is they keep Lipstick Jungle over Cashmere Mafia I will have words with America. Brooke Shields is so last decade (sorry avid B.S. fans). In Memoriam:

I tried.
I tried to limit my posts about Tory Burch but she just won't let me stop wanting her new things. So, I do not own a clutch (insert gasp here) I know it sounds crazy for a person like me but I have always felt a love hate with the clutch. Where will I set it down, will my arm get tired, where exactly will it be placed under my arm if I am wearing a tank top, what if I set it down and forget it? I know, I have real problems. But I have recently been thinking I may be clutch ready and I can't help but think I was meant to take the clutch plunge with Tory. I had my eye on a rattan one but this, this little red lovely is just what I need. I love accenting my neutrals with red so to have a purse in red...enough said.

Crushworthy
I had a dream last night that John Mayer was giving me yucky bugs to hold in my hand and I was pretending I liked it because I did not want to offend him. He kept taking my picture after he would hand me the bugs...strange. I am not sure what it all means for me but I do know that I have recently been very into John Mayer. It seems to me the once chubby faced sappy guitar player has evolved into an extremely attractive master guitar player. I am really into his music and his looks aren't too shabby either. Hopefully I will get to see him in concert when he comes to town at the end of July...just ANOTHER hint for Tod. (I think that is 2 in a row)

It's No Bid Deal...
I just want to be you, that's all. If you know me you know I have a full fledged obsession with Jennifer Aniston. I love her (in a normal way), I love her clothes, I love her hair. I love her simplicity and her commitment to all that is good. Take this picture for example... I love this picture-her hair, her outfit, her bag (even though you can only see a minor part of it), her jewelry, I even love the smart water (although I do not get paid for being photographed drinking it). If you don't love her then you don't love me.
I asked for John Mayer concert tickets for my birthday (hopefully I will get them) and when I go to see him hopefully she will be there. See, I even love the person she is dating.
With that I will conclude this tirade so I do not appear freaky (if I don't already).

Dreaming of Overpriced Bags
I have been really good about not lusting over high priced items lately but this bag I LOVE. And strangely...I even love it in purple (but I hate purple). As you all know I am an avid Jimmy Choo shoe fan but have never been to attached to the handbag collection. But this, this is perfect. I love the use of leather, suede, and zippers-versatile and chic. I see it myself in jeans, black flats, and a white v-neck adorned with this pretty pretty bag. For $2,000+ the only place I will be seeing it is in my dreams but that does not mean I cannot admire it, right?

Pick Me...Pleeease
For all you fellow "Lucky " magazine subscribers out there you probably already know that all Lucky ever shows you is how to make an outfit with a minimum of $700. I really rely more on style searching then bargain hunting for copies when it comes to my Lucky finds. I am even depressed by the so called "Lucky Breaks" as they usually allow you to buy a $650 handbag for $579...gee thanks for the "break". But this months cover with Amanda Peet (one of my ALL time favorite people) was too much...I MUST have it, all of it...How dare she come to my doorstep with that adorable outfit and accessories!!!! Then they say look inside for the cover give- away! What??? Check this loot...
So naturally I have registered to win on Lucky.com, problem is...I have NEVER won anything! If you are not a loser like me I suggest you register to win, just don't wear any of it in front of me please.

Laura Jeanne?
Am I the last to know that one of my all time favorite actresses is not who she says she is? The sweet girl who stole my heart in "The Man in the Moon" was Laura Jeanne all along? I had no idea Reese was her middle name, (insert sigh here). I think she definitely looks like a Reese and I like calling her Reese so I guess I will continue on and put the truth away in the corners of my mind never to be revisited again. Just thought you'd like to know, and if you already did shame on you for not telling me.

It's true...
As Tod and I arrived at the airport in Oakland on Saturday we were greeted by two very special people. Do you think you know? Ok, well I'll tell you-Jason Lee and Giovanni Ribisi! That's right. I figure that since they stood a mere 10 feet away for appx. 20 minutes that we are now friends. Why not? I'm sure they saw me and I definitely saw them. We were just common people that day with a common goal-a ride. In case you are wondering if they looked good-they did. They are both VERY crushworthy (strange how Jason's mustache was attractive in person). I will say I have regrets...they were standing there smoking and all I could think was...if I take a picture that would be lame, autograph-lame, just wanted to say hi-lame, but can I bum a cigarette-cool. I could have bummed the cig and given the butt to Stacie so she could make a neclace out of it (inside story). I could have told everyone that I smoked with Jason Lee-I'm so cool. Oh well.
We made it...
...to Lombard Street. That's right -we went, we saw, we drove (well Stacie drove). In the end we got this photo along with a scolding from a neighbor who informed us that Lombard Street is not Disneyland therefore we should stay out of the crosswalk and stop taking pictures. Mean neighbor guy aside it was worth it! We had so much fun in San Francisco and are sad to be home (except for coming home to charlie). I hope everyone had a fun weekend! I know I did.
