More than a little obsession...

I just cannot seem to get enough of looking at shoes that should be new to me. I have a feeling I will not rest until a new pair of the many shoes I am currently wanting ends up at my house. I have had a crush on these Steve Madden boots since the begining of boot season...they must be popular becausee they have yet to go on sale...anywhere. I have not ventured into the world of skinny jeans yet so I do have to wonder if my not so skinny jeans will fit inside...Strange thing about skinny jeans...I thought they would never fit over my butt but it turns out they just will not fit over my calves without cutting off the circulation! Go figure!

Not just another Choo

They may look like your average tan peep toe but I tried these little delights on at Nordstrom and can say without hesitation that if you put this shoe on your foot you will never want to take it off. They fit so beautifully, the heel height is just right, and there is something about the black sole that shows through under your toes that is so sexy you will need to see it to believe it! They have officially moved to the top of my want list, now I just need to watch for them to go on sale.

Juno

Dear everyone and anyone involved with creating Juno, Thank you for making a movie that I will never forget. Funny, tender, witty, I could go on forever. I laughed out loud, I cried, I am changed. If any of you have not seen this movie, GO.

Why Not Celebrate?

These rings are reason enough for me to celebrate...Tiffany & Co. has launched a campaign for their many (at least 100) stacking rings. It seems they are no longer just rings but "celebration rings", which makes them the perfect gift for any and all occassions (hint hint Tod). It's my birthday...ring one. It's valentines day...ring two. It's presidents day...ring three. I could have 10 by the end of the year! But really all I want is four...and I want them in different colors. Oh yes, you can get them in white gold, yellow gold, rose gold. They can be filled with diamonds, colored diamonds, sapphires, rubies, you name it! For all these reasons I say Let's start celebrating!

Can they be beat?

Since Sex and the City first came on the scene there has never been another show like it. The world tuned in religiously to watch the ever dramatic lives of Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha. I have always been an avid fan, I have every last episode on DVD and start them over every year and watch bit by bit. They epitomize what life as a woman can be like. You do not need to be just like Carrie or just like Charlotte. I think of it like I am a little bit of each of them, they each represent a strength that all woman can and should possess. 2008 has presented us with not one but TWO programs that have a very strong resemblance to Sex and the City...one of which is based on stories by the very same author. First on the scene:

Cashmere Mafia

I have watched Cashmere Mafia...I like it. It is no Sex and the City but it is good. The women are more accomplished, career driven, swanky. But does it have staying power? Can Lucy Lui lead these 3 unknowns into TV success, only time will tell. Second on the scene:

Lipstick Jungle

Tonight is the big premier...will Lipstick Jungle be able to overshadow Cashmere Mafia which came on the scene first...I think it might! Same writer as Sex and the City, two television stars that have been a part of successful TV programs before. I just love that Lindsay Price will be joining this cast, I have missed her since her days as Steve Saunders leading lady near the death of 90210. I will be DVRing LJ and watching it Saturday morning with my coffee. If there is anything good to report I will let you know!

J Crew...Yes Please

I L-O-V-E this ring on JCrew.com and for $50 dollars I think I will make it mine. It was created to look like Ivory and I love how the stone is oversized but the metal is so delicate. I would wear it on my middle finger, and I can see it now. I love J Crew, it is quiet and unassuming, just when I forget there even is a J Crew at my local mall I get an email showing me all the new wonderful things they have. I know it is preppy but they always have that one thing I must have. Plus have you checked out their flats! They also have the most creative catalogs too...they shoot on location in Rome, Ireland, etc. with the goal of showing where they are getting their seasonal inspiration. Plus they have sooooo many cute flats! I think I will go there...today.

Is this a Style?

I now bohemian is in but Mischa please!!!!!!!!!! Just because you got busted with narcotics does not mean that you have to throw out all sense of style. You are a very pretty girl...the hair, the hat, the pale colored shift that makes you look paler, and the boots that could be so right if everything else on your body wasn't so wrong. It's a good thing I cannot see you purse in full view because what I can see looks like it probably is a mess too. I am telling you this because I want to see more of the you we (at least I) love.

For the Ones I Love

I just wanted to post pics of all my favorite girls... friends are so important...in good times and bad. I have been fortunate enough to become friends with the most amazing women I have ever known and wanted to put their pics up to show them love. I hope that everyone reading this is fortunate enough to encounter as many wonderful people in their lives as I have!

Banquette

Why oh why can't you be mine...sweet little Kitchen Banquette. All I want is for someone to bulid me a banquette for my impoosible to fill nook in my kitchen. I have been dreaming of a built-in corner eating nook since Tod and I first bought our house. At one time I had a lead on someone to build it for us but his quote was $1600!!! Ugh... I wish I was a HR Professional/Carpenter. Maybe someday I will get one like this:

Crushworthy

This weeks crushworthy male is Adam Brody. First claim to fame was his role as Seth Cohen on the O.C. He was a semi-dorky video game junkie who landed his high schools super hottie Summer (Rachel Bilson...See post on Brunettes).
Last weekend I had the pleasure of seeing him in "In The Land of Women". What a perfect Saturday morning, I am alone drinking hot tea in my favorite chair with Charlie (my dog) movie. Please see this movie...

Guess Who?

Recognize this face????Having seen the ultra popular Disney show "Even Stevens" a million times as a babysitting teenager I would have never though that little Shia Labeouf would turn out to be such a tween hottie! On Stevens he played an annoying punk kid whose only purpose on this earth was to torture and torment his older sister. Annoying young twerp no more. Shia first caught my eye in Disturbia (which I loved). And more recently I saw him in TRANSFORMERS (which I also loved). But...today as I was waiting in line at Longs buying some gum I saw this...

I'd say Shia will more than likely break a few million hearts...

Too Cute.

I do not not proclaim to be a lover of Pete from Fall Out Boy or Ashlee Simpson but I am a lover of them as a couple. They are spotted all over looking so cute...they even have matching looks. She has never looked better...so little, cute clothes, smiling face. Turns out there are two sisters in the Simpson family worth spying on. Is it too much to hope for that they stay together forever...it's possible.
