Sling It

So...I have been not so patiently awaiting my new baby sling I bought on ETSY in the RasberryBaby store. When will it be here, when will it be here? Madelyn is getting too heavy to carry in my arms for a long time and the bjorn is not always convenient because it is bulky so I am SO excited to try this guy out! She makes a few different styles and will do any colors so mamas to be out there check it out. At this stage of motherhood I think this sling is money.

I will let you all know how it goes...when it gets here. I'm ready.

Boyfriend.

Reese Witherspoon is the *QUEEN* of casual in my book. She is always in style, never overdone, and looks comfortable too! For weeks I have been on the fence about taking the plunge and buying "boyfriend" jeans. Yes, no, yes, no, YES! So yesterday I did it, I bought a pair! I LOVE them. They are crazy and maybe even unflattering because you are wearing over sized saggy jeans but I still love them. Tod came home from work and looked in my shopping bag and here is what he said:

T: Oh, did you buy some jeans for madelyn
L: No, for me
T: Oh, let's see them
L: No-you will hate them, they are those boyfriend jeans everyone is wearing
T: Ugh! Disgusting.

Needless to say I will be wearing these erranding when Tod is NOT present but who cares. I love them!

Baby Talk

To baby talk or not to baby talk...Tod and I may use special voices from time to time to excite out precious little Madelyn but in general we do not baby talk. Never been a big fan. If you however feel the need I will not stop you, I will not make fun of you, I pretty much will not care. Last night we had Tod parents over for dinner (Madelyns Amma and Pops). When they arrived I instantly put them on baby patrol while I went to the kitchen to prep for dinner. I was standing over the sink listening to Amma baby talk up a storm...serious baby talk. All I could think of was the scene from Meet the Fockers when Pamcakes dad says "Don't infantilize him Greg" about their little grandson. I actually laughed out loud as I stood in my kitchen alone. If you have not seen this movie please do, it is so funny! Future mommies out there the days of baby talk are coming soon!

Are You Still With Me???

I know, I know it's June now...where have I been? It's AMAZING how fast time gets away from you when caring for (and about) a child! If you have missed me..Im sorry. If you are just checking in for the first time in weeks...shame on you what if I had posted something important:)! I REALLY am going to do better. I am currently watchin Wipeout and must go see people get beat up by the balls...if you watch you know what I mean. If you don't watch you should. Tod and I have been known to laught til we cry. Until tomorrow-I Love You:)

Giggles

Madelyn Grace Pradels officially giggles!!!! Today Tod and I went to lunch at Islands and after we ate we went to his car. He was getting his stuff together and I was holding her up so she was standing in the back of the explorer and out of no where she started giggling uncontrollably for at least a few minutes. She was laughing so hard we could not believe it! What a fun day that Tod and I got to witness our baby girls first laugh together! Melts my heart.

Young Love

Remember what it felt like the first time you were in love (or at least loved somebody)? This is my 14 year old niece and her main man Sam. I just love this picture of them! I think he flat irons his hair:) She is young and full of life and carries so many hopes and dreams for her future. I am constantly reminding her she has a LONG life ahead of her but for now she has still has that innocence that has not been tainted! Oh to be 14 again, mapping out a life that will bring so many surprises! I LOVE her.

Tod Inspired

Tod turned me on to the website Ando and Friends because he really liked the artwork. As I searched the site (which is worth visiting because there is a ton of cool stuff to look at) I came across this picture titled "handjive". I LOVE this picture, if I was a surfer I would buy this in a heartbeat! Every couple who surfs together should have this print in their house. Cinco de Tsao?

In honor of Cinco de Mayo I am making an asian stir fry for dinner...totally blew it on not planning a mexican food dinner. I am trying out a new Trader Joes sauce (for those of you who know me you know my cooking *revolves* around trader joes). My stir fry will only contain chicken, fresh pineapple, and shredded carrots as I am married to the pickiest person on the planet and no other ingredients would do! If this looks interesting to you I am more than willing to share my secrets...mix, cook and serve over rice. An 8 on the difficulty scale (ha, more like a 2 because there is chopping involved)!

A Few of my Favorite Things

Mondays are all about getting ready for a new week; clean the house, wash the clothes, pay the bills, grocery shop, etc... I went to Trader Joes this morning and in turn have a few of my favorite things to share:)

Faithful friends...as my pregnancy sucked out my creativity my blog ceased to exist. I am going to *attempt* to reinvent myself and this blog. Between changing diapers and keeping up with my old self I am hoping to find time to blog away. Be forewarned there will be baby stuff as my life now involves caring for my beautiful baby girl, Madelyn!
